Reparations in these Sinful Times

Dear Friend,

No doubt you have been struck by the increasing darkness of our times. Everyone feels that their rights have been abused and seek justice, whether lawful or not. No one speaks of the reparations needed to restore the rightful place of Our Lord in our daily lives.

Our Lord is deeply offended by the mockery shown to Him and our Blessed Mother, Mary. We must make reparation and do it now. Sister Marie de Saint Pierre was given this prayer, which should be recited daily

The Golden Arrow Prayer

MAY the most holy, most
sacred, most adorable, most
incomprehensible and
Flame of God
be always praised, blessed,
adored and glorified, in
Heaven, on earth, and under
the earth, by all the creatures
of God, and by the Sacred
Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ
in the Most Holy Sacrament
of the Altar. Amen.

When I say no one speaks of the reparations needed, in truth, I think no one - or very few - understands the need for reparations. The quality of our faith is inversely proportional to the level of darkness we experience. It is symptomatic of a society - by this I mean western Christian culture - that is suffering from a lack of faith in God that is due to a lack of both humility and modesty - a lack of belief in a higher power than themselves and a lack of belief that their thoughts and actions matter in this world (not to mention the next world!).

Saint Rita: Patron Saint of the Impossible and a Model for All Women

Dear Friend,

Saint Rita, patron saint of difficult marriages, impossible cases, and parenthood, is a model of humility and faith in Our Lord. Watch this video which tells her life story and you will be inspired to pray to Saint Rita too. Begin your novena today and it will be finished in time for Saint Rita's Feast Day on May 22nd.

Saint of the Impossible

O Holy Patroness of those in need, Saint Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favours hast been called the Advocate of the hopeless and even of the Impossible; Saint Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou couldst obtain from him whatsoever thou askest, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify, thee by making known thy favour, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray thee grant that (Your Request) obtain for us our request by the singular merits of thy childhood, thy perfect union with the Divine Will, thy heroic sufferings during thy married life, the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband, the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God, thy miraculous entrance into the convent, thy severe penances and thrice daily bloody scourgings, thy suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of thy Crucified Saviour, thy divine love which consumed thy heart, that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament on which alone thou didst exist for four years, the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse, the perfect example thou gavest to people of every state of life.Pray for us, O holy Saint Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Stop Euthanasia Bill C-14 NOW!

Dear Friends,

Canada has "universal healthcare." It is not a perfect system, but it is a good one a great deal of the time. But, as Canada continues to slide further "left", especially under the current administration and with a largely weak Canadian Catholic church, Canada as a "moral" nation, has completely lost its way.

Not only is abortion legal, but if Bill C-14 is passed, euthanasia will be as well. Canada will, no doubt, bring the wrath of God upon itself. If you think that sounds foolish or "old fashioned" then the only fool here is the one you see in the mirror. Bill C-14, in a nation with universal healthcare, is a recipe for disaster. As one speaker in the following video states, legalizing euthanasia is "like opening Pandora's box." The passing Bill C-14 will, essentially, make doctors into gods who can, if they so choose, decide who lives and who dies.

Sadly, our Catholic and other Christian leaders have been largely neutered and do not strive to defend the rights of the unborn, so, what are the chances they will raise their voices against euthanasia?

If you are as outraged and sickened by this bill, I beg of you to share this video and start the conversation about the moral implications of this bill as well as the wrath of God for the injustice of this bill. Please share this video with as many people as you can.

God bless,

Why Do We Veil?

Why Do We Veil?

Do you know the theology of the veil? Why do we women veil? What is its purpose? Quite simply we veil because it is a practice that is ancient and it represents 'the divine presence of God.'

The act of veiling appears throughout the Bible, in terms of the Old Testament, we read that the Holy of Holies was veiled and in terms of the New Testament, the resurrection of Jesus Christ was a veiled event. Veils are used to cover the ciborium, the tabernacle, and the chalice.

So, the act of veiling has many reference points. Veiling is a show of reverence, separating the holy from the secular. So, clearly, if we no longer veil, it suggests that we no longer seek to be reverent. We are essentially suggesting that we are equal to God.

We have a need to veil. We are Catholic. We must show God that we are unchanging and that we are feminine. We wear the chapel veil because our soul seeks union with God. The veil symbolizes that we are under God's protection.
